"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. "

Success again in Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen tests

05 Jun 2017

Some of our Members receiving their bronze, silver and gold Good Citizen Awards June 2017.

We work throughout the year on fun obedience exercises, behaviour and communication with our dogs to help us when it comes to test time, but the six weeks or so leading up to the tests is more intensive. Have a look at our obedience page to see what we do and how you and your dog can benefit from this kind of training. The dogs really love it and it is so rewarding for them and us.

The club, which is Kennel Club registered and has been successfully running for over twenty two years, has launched its brand new website www.CynllanDogs.com

"We want to reach people who love their dogs and want to learn more about them, teach them skills and confidence through activities that engage and stimulate them, and provide an enriched life as a result. People generally want to do the very best for their dogs, but don't necessarily know how to get good training without paying a lot of money. Cynllan Lodge Dog Training Club makes learning and training your dog accessible, affordable and enjoyable and our Member Trainers are very experienced in obedience and agility and other fun activities like scent work and trick training. We hope many dog lovers will take up the opportunity to come along  and see what the benefits of training with a dog club can be."

Great New Year's eve walk with about 15 or so club members and friends - and many more dogs - through Kenfig National Park to the beach and back. Dogs just love walking with their humans, playing and exploring in a pack. It's a great way to let them learn to relax and socialise in the natural way that dogs do!
